Ingredients

30 minutes
6 persons
  1. 5 cupsmilk
  2. 1 cuprice
  3. 5 tablespoonssugar
  4. 1 tablespooncornstarch dissolved in ½ cup water
  5. 1 tablespoonrose water
  6. 1 tablespoonorange blossom water
  7. 1/2 teaspoonmastic gum, crushed with 1 teaspoon of sugar

30 minutes
  1. 1

    In a non-sticky or stainless steel pot, put the milk and rice with ½ cup water and a dash of salt. Put on medium heat and stir until the mixture thickens.

  2. 2

    While continuously stirring, add sugar and the dissolved cornstarch.

  3. 3

    After 5 min, turn the heat off; add the rose water, orange blossom water and mastic gum.

  4. 4

    Pour in serving cups and leave them to cool. Put the rice pudding in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hr before serving.

    You can serve plain or with jam next to it.
