Ingredients

  1. 250 gramsPohala fish
  2. 25 gramsmustard seeds
  3. 5 gramscumin seeds
  4. 8 clovesgarlic
  5. 1 tea spoonturmuric powder
  6. to tasteSalt
  7. 1big onion chopped
  8. 4green chillies
  9. 2big chopped tomatoes
  10. 1big potato, cut and fry
  11. as neededOil to fry
  12. 2 spoonscoriander leaves
  13. 1 tea spoonpanchfutan
  14. 1red dry chilli
  15. 1 tea spoonchilli powder

  1. 1

    Wash the fishes properly and add turmuric powder and salt to it. Keep for 10 mins

    Make a plain paste of mustard seeds, cumin seeds, 2 green chilli, garlic and half of the chopped onion.. Fry the fishes golden coloured.

    Heat a pan. Add 2 spoons mustard oil. Add red chilli and panchfutan, let it crack. Now add chopped onion And green chillies fry a little brown. Add mustard paste, fried potato and chopped tomato. Saute well. Now add turmuric powder, chilli powder, salt to it. Saute well.Add 200 ml water and let it boil for 10 min in Lower flame.

    Now add fried Pohala fishes and let it boil for 3 mins. We don't need much gravy in this curry. Add coriander leaves and serve it hot with steamed rice.
