Normal Beer Biscuits

My husband introduced these to me after he and his friends got into UnTapped. It is a way to use the beer you can’t drink (especially if you hated it.)

My husband is a "beer-snob" his buddies and he are big into the app Untapp'd. The Clamato beer in this recipe was one of his "fruit beers." It was disgusting to drink, but delicious in his beer bread recipe. Blair Webster-Urton -

I've tried several biscuit recipes & this is my favorite! I tweaked the recipe a bit when I make it. I always use 1 cup of buttermilk. When I tried 3/4 cup the dough was always too dry & didn't stay together. Also, I mix this in my kitchenaid stand mixer & it turns out fine so you don't have to mix by hand if you don't want to. After many trials, this is closest to the original.Stop immediately once the dough has formed. Do not over-knead, or it won't crack. It's fine if it's slightly powdery.Mix briskly without over thinking.During the hot season, let the dough cool in the fridge, then the scones will crack when baking. For about 6 cm × 6 biscuits. I love biscuits and gravy. My great grandmother made the best biscuits, but she made them with sourdough. I have tried lots of recipes, but this one comes most near to the tenderness and taste I enjoy. Hope you will enjoy too. 1953kenny -
