This type of Pathrode is in practice across Mangalore and Malnad region of Karnataka. It is made from colocasia leaves stuffed with rice flour and flavorings such as spices, tamarind, and jaggery. It is a very tasty breakfast recipe. There is another variant of this made in northern India (Gujarat) where the rice and the coconut are replaced with gram flour.
