Peel and boil potatoes until cooked (Not too soft)

Prepare chilli paste by mixing chilli salt and lemon jui

Slice the potatoes in the middle but not all the way through. Apply the chill paste on the potatoes.

Prepare the flour batter by mixing flour, water, salt, bicarbonate and turmeric. Mix it to a running consistency not too thin and not too thick.

Deep potatoes into the flour batter and deep fry in hot oil. NB: don't stir the potatoes for the first 2 mins

Drain excess oil and serve.
