You can also soak chestnuts in rum if you like.

Preheat your oven to 350F (175C) and generously grease and flour a tube pan. Shake out excess flour and set aside.

Chop the Chestnut nuts

Put a melted butter in a bowl and beat the butter until it is creamy and smooth.

Add the sugar and beat it until the ingredients are well combined and light and fluffy (about 1-2 minutes).

Add the eggs in a separate bowl and beat until eggs are broken up.

Slowly pour egg mixture into your batter, allowing it to gradually become incorporated (don't pour all the egg mixture in at once.)add chopped chestnus and beat mixture until well combined.

Spread batter evenly into prepared tube pan, use a spatula to smooth the surface of the batter. put the leftover Chestnut on the top.

Transfer to 350F (175C) oven and bake for 50mins or until a wooden skewer inserted in the center of the thickest part of the cake comes out clean
