Soak chick peas over night

Boil the peas in a cooker till 4-5 whistles

Put the wok on the gas and heat some oil

Add chopped garlic,saute for a while,add chopped onion and saute until it becomes light brown.

Add ginger and onion paste to above and saute for a while. Then add all the powdered masalas and mix well

Add salt,tamarind paste and sugar and boiled chick peas. Mix well and cover and Cook it in low flame for few minutes

Once the right gravy consistency is reached add garam masala and remove. Serve it with hot rotis or parathas
