In a bowl, whisk together all the ingredients. Add little water if the batter is too thick. Marinate the chicken pieces with the spice batter and mix to coat well. Leave it for 3-4 hours or overnight.

Heat oil in a deep bottomed vessel. Once the oil is heated, add the chicken pieces, making sure not to overcrowd them. Fry for 3-4 mins turning the pieces occasionally. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with a few lime wedges & onions rings.
