Ingredients

1 hour
4 servings
  • 1 litrefull fat milk
  • 1/3 cupsugar - adjust
  • 1/4 teaspoonrose water
  • 1/2 teaspooncardamom
  • 4 tbspchopped nuts
  • 1generous pinch saffron

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat milk in deep bottom vessel

    Bring milk to boil stirring occasionally

    Take out 2 tbsp milk in a bowl. Add saffron and soak to milk

    Cook milk until reduced to half

  5. 5

    Add saffron milk, sugar, cardamom and mix well. Cook for another 4 minutes

    Allow to cool to room temperature. Blend basundi for better creamy texture. Chill until ready to serve

    Just before serving, garnish with nuts. Serve cold
