Ingredients

60 mins
12 servings
  1. 16 ozpasta (something that traps the cheese)
  2. 6 tablespoonsbutter
  3. 1/2 cupflour
  4. 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  5. 1/2 teaspoonpepper
  6. 1 teaspoondry mustard
  7. 1/4 teaspoonpaprika
  8. 5 cupsmilk
  9. 5 cupscheddar cheese (or whatever cheese or cheeses you're into)
  10. 1/4 cuppanko bread crumbs

Cooking Instructions

60 mins
  1. 1

Boil pasta until almost done. Rinse with cool water and set aside. (Mix in just a bit of oil or butter to keep it from sticking)

  2. 2

    Set oven to 375

  3. 3

Make a roux by melting butter on medium then adding flour, salt, pepper, and mustard, and paprika (save a bit of paprika to sprinkle on top). Stir or whisk continously for 3 minutes.

  4. 4

Make a white sauce by adding the milk and stirring constantly until it's thick (about ten minutes but it will get thick).

  5. 5

Turn off burner and add 4 cups cheese. Stir until smooth.

  6. 6

Add sauce to noodles. Put in 9x13 dish sprayed with pam. Cover with panko and remaining cheese. Sprinkle paprika on top.

  7. 7

Bake for thirty minutes or until the panko browns and is bubbly around the edges.

Honestly, I put my recipes here so that I can easily look them up myself (although some are made often enough that I no longer need the recipe - like the pork chops, my son's favorite). That being said, these are the tried and true dishes I make on a regular basis for my family. But, of course, I'm glad to share...enjoy.
