Ingredients

10 mins
  • 1/4 cupwhole corriander seeds
  • 2 tbswhole cumin seeds
  • 2 tbswhole mustard seeds
  • 2 tbswhole anise seeds
  • 1 tbswhole fenugreek seeds
  • 1 tbswhole allspice berries
  • 5 tbstumeric
  • 1 tspchilli powder or cayenne

  1. 1

    Combine the Corriander, Cumin. Mustard, Anise, Fenugreek seeds, and Allspice Berries in a skillet. Toast over a medium heat until the colour of the spices darken slightly, and the spices are very fragrant. This is for about 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Remove spices from the skillet and allow to cool completely. Grind the spices with the Turmeric and Cayenne and store in an airtight container in a cool dark place.

    Test out how much to use that suits your taste.
