Ingredients

  1. 3 Tbsprefined oil
  2. 250 gmspaneer, diced
  3. 6tomatoes, chopped
  4. 1 cuppeas
  5. 2-3brown cardamoms
  6. 2cinnamon sticks
  7. 5-6cloves
  8. 1/2 tspjeera
  9. 3fresh red chillies, slit
  10. 3green chillies, slit
  11. 1 inchginger
  12. 3/4 tspturmeric powder
  13. 1 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  14. 1 tspcoriander powder
  15. 1/2 tspzeera powder
  16. Juice of half a lime
  17. to tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a deep vessel and crackle the cinnamon, cloves and cardamoms.Add the green & red chillies and ginger.
    Then add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder, coriander & zeera powder, sprinkle a bit of water and mix.

    Now add the tomatoes and salt and stir it all together.
    Let this simmer for about 5-7 minutes.

    Pour in a glass of water, add the peas, cover and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

    Add the paneer, stir gently and cook till the water reduces to a slightly thick gravy.Once ready, squeeze some lime juice and serve hot.
