Abhada Dali is typical Odiya food and one of the 56 bhog served in Jagannath Temple.
Steps

Wash and soak daal for 1 hour.

Add salt, turmeric, jaggery and bay leaves and boil on medium flame.

Add cloves, cinnamon, cumin, coriander, grated coconut and ginger in mixie jar. Add 3 tbsp water and make paste.

Coarse paste ready.

Add this paste to daal and cook it until done.

Add mustard seeds to oil and once crackles add this tadka to cooked daal.

Abhada Daali is ready to serve.
