Ingredients

4 servings
  • 2 cupsflour (about 250 grams)
  • 1 cupmilk (about 240 ml)
  • 1/2 cupvegetable oil or melted butter (about 120 ml)
  • 1 cupsugar (about 200 grams)
  • 1 tablespoonvanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoonbaking powder
  • 2eggs
  • Cinnamon to taste

  1. 1

    Beat the sugar with the oil.

    Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and beat again.

    In a separate bowl, sift the flour and baking powder together with a fork. Add half of this mixture and half of the milk to the batter.

    Beat, then add the rest of the flour mixture and milk, and continue beating.

    Pour the batter into a baking pan and bake at 480°F (250°C) for 25 minutes.

    Optional: Mix 1 teaspoon cinnamon with 1 teaspoon sugar in a cup. Halfway through baking, sprinkle this mixture over the cake.

    Let cool before serving.
