  5. 1/4 cupshredded parmesan cheese
  6. 1/4 cupshredded romano cheese
  7. 1/4 cupshredded mozzarella cheese
  8. 1/4 cupshredded agiaso cheese
  9. 1/4 cupshredded provolone cheese
  10. ◆◆◆◆◆◆ batter ◆◆◆◆◆◆
  11. 1 cupseasoned flour
  12. 1 cupsparkling or seltzer water lemon-lime
  13. 1egg beaten
  14. ◆◆◆◆◆◆ Oil ◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆
  15. as neededvegetable oil to fry in

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil

  2. 2

    Mix the flour, water, and egg together till smooth

  3. 3

    Mix the cheeses

    Stuff the cheeses into the zucchini blossoms gently twist the ends a bit.

    Dip into the batter and fry 2 minutes

    Move to paper towels to absorb excessive oil

These are great! At the right time of year, squash blossoms are dirt cheap at the farmers market. Always felt bad for whoever had to work the fryer station though.
