  • 1 quartzucchini blossoms
  • to tastesalt
  • ◆◆◆◆◆ Cheeses ◆◆◆◆◆◆
  • 1/4 cupshredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cupshredded romano cheese
  • 1/4 cupshredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cupshredded agiaso cheese
  • 1/4 cupshredded provolone cheese
  • ◆◆◆◆◆◆ batter ◆◆◆◆◆◆
  • 1 cupseasoned flour
  • 1 cupsparkling or seltzer water lemon-lime
  • 1egg beaten
  • ◆◆◆◆◆◆ Oil ◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆
  • as neededvegetable oil to fry in

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil

  2. 2

    Mix the flour, water, and egg together till smooth

  3. 3

    Mix the cheeses

    Stuff the cheeses into the zucchini blossoms gently twist the ends a bit.

    Dip into the batter and fry 2 minutes

    Move to paper towels to absorb excessive oil

  7. 7

These are great! At the right time of year, squash blossoms are dirt cheap at the farmers market. Always felt bad for whoever had to work the fryer station though.
