Ingredients

  • 1/2 kgCarrot (grated)
  • 1/2 litremilk (full fat)
  • 1/2 cupsugar
  • 4elachi(skinned and powdered)
  • 1/2 cupmawa/khoya
  • Handfulmixed nuts (pista, cashews and almonds)

Steps

  1. 1

    Add grated carrots, milk and began to stir.

  2. 2

    Cook until the milk has completely evaporated.

  3. 3

    Add sugar and stir.

  4. 4

    Cook until half the moisture evaporates and the halwa thickens. Add grated mawa.

  5. 5

    Stir and cook for just 2 or 3 minutes.

  6. 6

    Garnish halwa with nuts. Serve warm or chilled.
