Steps
- 1
Pour oil into a small bowl.
- 2
Mix together seasonings, pepper, paprika, cumin, and cayenne pepper and add to thr oil. Add garlic, onions, and parsley (optional).
- 3
Mix together well with a fork. Slowly add ginger ale as it will cause the mixture to foam and bubble slightly.
- 4
Pour marinade over the chicken in the zip top bag or in a tray and cover with foil.
- 5
Remove as much air as possible from the bag and seal.
- 6
Turn the bag from side to side to make sure all chicken has been coated with the marinade.
- 7
Place the bag flat on a small, rimmed kitchen sheet pan and into the refrigerator.
- 8
Allow to sit up to 1 hour or overnight for best results, turning the bag over every few hours to keep the chicken coated.
- 9
Once your chicken parts are marinated, place them on the grill.
- 10
Cook them for 7-8 minutes on each side, not lifting during the cooking process (you don’t want to lose your pretty grill marks)
