Cinnamon Rolls (one egg, delicious)

I’m excited to join my fellow cooks in posting this bread-themed recipe. I made cinnamon rolls with cream cheese. The combination of cinnamon, palm sugar, and cream cheese is incredibly delicious. If you have trouble finding cream cheese, you can make a substitute by cooking cheddar cheese with milk and mixing it with cornstarch to thicken. I don't have exact measurements yet, but you can look them up online. If you don't want a cream cheese glaze, you can use icing sugar instead, which is even easier. Just warm the icing sugar with milk and pour it over the cinnamon rolls.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Make the starter: In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Stir well and let sit for 10 minutes until bubbles form, indicating the yeast is active.
- 2
In another bowl, mix bread flour, all-purpose flour, sugar, powdered milk, and egg. Add the starter. Knead by hand until partially smooth.
- 3
Add butter and salt, and knead with a hand mixer until the dough is smooth and elastic. You can also knead by hand, but it will take longer.
- 4
Form the dough into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 40-50 minutes depending on the temperature. Punch down the dough to release air.
- 5
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and spread with butter.
- 6
Mix palm sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon powder.
- 7
Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the buttered dough and roll it up.
- 8
Cut into 11 equal pieces. For clean cuts, use a thread. Arrange in a lightly greased 8-inch springform pan. Let rise again and brush with melted butter.
- 9
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes using only the bottom heat. Adjust according to your oven. Remove and place on a cooling rack.
- 10
Make the glaze: Heat sugar, cream cheese, and milk until the cream cheese melts. Stir until bubbly and thick. Pour over the rolls.
- 11
The texture is soft and delicious.

I love cinnamon rolls!I like them more with icing, but I decided to omit it this time. When you are done rolling the dough, make sure that it is tightly sealed at the ends.If you want them to bake so that the middle sticks out, you don't have to bother pushing them down with the palm of your hand. Best Cinnamon Rolls Best Cinnamon Rolls
These cinnamon rolls take a lot of work but are very worth it if you have the time. Notice the full pound of butter these rolls call for? They are the best I've ever had. Thick and chewy; sweet and cinnamon-y. I think the frosting is what makes these stand apart. I don't care for the cream cheese frosting found on so many recipes. These have lots of thick, fluffy frosting made from powdered sugar and it's hard to beat. Makes 2 dozen 4" rolls so invite friends and family.Mutus

Cinnamon Rolls Cinnamon Rolls
I was asked to make cinnamon rolls shown in the pamphlet so they could be served at a movie screening, but I wasn't satsified with the original dough...I tried various things, and finally settled on this combination while leaving the original image intact. If you use milk with a high ratio of sugar, the dough will just become heavy. I lightened it up a bit with skim milk. It's a waste to throw away the cut edges, so wrap in them aluminum foil and bake them. Recipe by uronn cookpad.japan -
