Steps
- 1
Take mushroom in a bowl. Add turmeric powder and a pinch of salt to it and mix well.
- 2
Shallow fry the mushroom for 3-4 minutes and keep it aside.
- 3
Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and then chopped onion. Fry till the onion turns brown. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell of garlic goes away. Now add chopped tomato and cook till soft. Next add turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt and saute till oil starts to ooze out from the sides.
- 4
Now add shallow fried mushroom and green peas. Saute for a while. Then add water, cover the pan with a lid and allow it to cook for 10 minutes or till the water dries out and the mushroom & peas are properly cooked.
- 5
Once the mushroom and peas are soft and tender, add garam masala powder and chopped coriander leaves. Cover it and turn off the flame.
- 6
Thus ready is the delicious mushroom masala to be served hot with roti, paratha, naan or rice.
