Ingredients

  1. 1 cupBesan / gram flour
  2. 4 tbsp + 1 cupDahi / curd
  3. to tasteSalt
  4. 1 cupchopped fenugreek leaves
  5. 6 tbsp + for fryingOil
  6. 1 cup (chopped)Onion
  7. 1 tspGinger garlic paste
  8. 1/2tomatoes purée
  9. 2-3Dry red chilli
  10. 1Green chilli
  11. 2 tspDhania powder / coriander powder
  12. 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  13. 1 tspRed chilli powder
  14. 1/2 tspGaram masala powder
  15. 2 tbspschopped Coriander leaves

Steps

  1. 1

    Add 2 tbsp oil, 4 tbsp dahi, fenugreek leaves,little salt and besan in a bowl and make a smooth paste using a little water.

    Add it to a pan, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes till it thickens.

    Grease a plate and spread the mixture to cool.

  4. 4

    Once cooled cut it in small pieces.

  5. 5

    Heat oil in a kadhai and deep fry the pieces till golden brown. Keep aside.

  6. 6

    Heat 4 tbsp oil in a pan, fry onions and ginger garlic paste till light brown.Add tomatoes purée,roast till gets light brown.

  7. 7

    Add 1 cup dahi and all dry masala and fry until water starts to leave the sides.

  8. 8

    Add 2 cup water and bring it to a boil.
    Add the fried besan pieces and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.

  9. 9

    Garnish with fresh coriander.

  10. 10

    Serve hot with rice.Enjoy😋
