Each country or even region has its own slight variation in the method and ingredients. For example, some areas add cucumber or lettuce leaves to tabbouleh. Still, tabbouleh remains delicious, always a crowd favorite, and often takes the top spot among salads.

Rinse the bulgur and soak it in lukewarm water until it softens. Then drain and squeeze it by hand to remove excess water.

In a large bowl, combine all the prepared ingredients. Add the lemon juice, olive oil, and salt to taste. Adjust the amounts as you prefer.

When ready to serve, mix well. Serve with lettuce or cabbage leaves.

Garnish with tomato roses or as you like.

Note: Be sure to wash and dry the parsley and mint thoroughly before using.
