Steps
- 1
To start with mash the boiled potatoes and green peas. Keep it aside.
- 2
Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and then chopped onion & finely chopped ginger. Fry till onion turns brown. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt and saute for a while. Then add mashed potatoes & greenpeas and cook for a minute. Next add chopped coriander leaves, mix well and turn off the flame. Leave the mixture to cool down.
- 3
Once cooled, divide the mixture into five equal portions and set aside.
- 4
Now make a thin batter of maida & cornflour by adding some water and keep it aside.
- 5
Take a round shaped bread slice on a board. Put one portion of potato-greenpeas mixure over it and gently press to spread evenly as a layer. Then top it with another round shaped bread slice by pressing lightly so that it sticks well.
- 6
Repeat the process to make similar cutlets with rest of the five portions of potato-greenpeas mixure.
- 7
Dip the prepared cutlets into the thin batter of maida-cornflour and shallow fry until golden brown from both the sides over a low medium heat. Remove and drain on a paper towel.
- 8
Now ready is the potato greenpeas cutlet to be served hot with tomato and chilli sauce.
