Ingredients

4 people
  1. Dosa/idly batter(some left over batter)
  2. 2 teaspoonBaking soda
  3. 1 teaspoonSalt
  4. 1/2 cupMethi seeds/fenugreek seeds
  5. 1 cupRice

Steps

  1. 1

    To make methi idli,first soak 1 cup rice and methi seeds for 4 hrs.

  2. 2

    Then grind the soaked rice and methi seeds to make smooth batter.

  3. 3

    Now mix the batter with dosa/idly batter.

  4. 4

    Add the baking powder and the batter can be rest for 8 hours.(if u are going to make the idlies for breakfast.,soak overnight.)

  5. 5

    Then take idli pan and make idlies.Coconut chutney and pickle suits well with these idlies.
