Ingredients

  • 1mudu Gero/millet
  • 1 cupdry ginger
  • Halfcup cloves
  • Halfcup red pepper
  • to tasteSugar
  • 1coconut (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak millet over night after washing and removing the stones and dirt

  2. 2

    Add all ingredients and blend to a relatively smooth paste

  3. 3

    Do not seive

  4. 4

    Boil hot water and add to paste until thick

  5. 5

    Cool and add water just enough, not too thick and not too watery now you can seive

  6. 6

    Refrigerate do not add ice as it will make it more watery unless you are taking it right then.

Olden days when zo6o wasn't in existence, I like kunun zaqi especially after we came back from primary sch during sunny season.
