Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsbutter
  2. 2 cupssugar
  3. 6eggs
  4. 1 tspvanilla
  5. 8-9 cupsflour, siffed
  6. 2 tablespoonbaking powder
  7. 1egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water
  8. orange zest (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Cream butter and gradually beat in sugar. Beats eggs until light; add butter to mixture and beat thoroughly. Add vanilla

  2. 2

    Sift flour and baking powder. Carefully blend into butter-egg mixture to make a soft dough

  3. 3

    Shape dough with lightly floured hands into desired shapes and arrange on cooky sheets. Brush cookies with beaten egg and water.

    Bake in 375 F oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
