Ingredients

  • 1 cubeunsalted butter, the better the butter, the better tastin
  • 1/4 clt brown sugar
  • 1/8 cdk brown sugar
  • 1/4 cmilk, any fat content
  • 1/4 cDutch-processed cocoa
  • 1/4 cmilk, any fat content

  1. 1

    Melt the butter and sugars in a 3 c saucepan on medium high heat until they are ALL COMPLETELY liquid. Stir frequently with a whisk.

  2. 2

    Once small bubbles begin to appear, add the cocoa all at once. Keep whisking at a steady pace until the sauce begins to take on a smooth and shiny appearance. Keep whisking until the small bubbles don't disappear. Turn off the heat. Let cool.

  3. 3

    Add to the bottom or the top of ice cream, place a small tsp on top of each Flourless Peanut Butter Cookie, etc.
