In a pan, add oil, then add cumin seeds and sauté, add chopped onion and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté 1 minute.

Add in the carrots and potatoes, sprinkle in all the powdered spices, give it a good mix and turn off heat to allow to cool.

Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix together flour, salt, black pepper and turmeric powder.

To the mixture add the oil and mix then gradually add water as you knead to get a soft dough.

Divide dough into 8 pieces then roll out each pieces into a diac shape on a slightly floured surface with a rolling pin.

Using a spoon, scoop about 1 & 1/2 tbsp of your potatoes and place at the center of your rolled out dough. Take one end of the dough and fold it, turning it towards you to completely cover the potatoes. Using a the fork, tighten the edges to seal in the potatoes.

Do the same for each piece of dough. Then add enough oil into a frying pan and set it on medium heat. Fry your bites until golden brown, drain off excess oil then serve and enjoy with your favorite dip.
