Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1 cupkuttu ka atta
  • 3big potatoes (boiled and mashed)
  • Chopped green chilli as per taste
  • To tasteSendha salt
  • 1 cupChopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tspPepper powder
  • 1 tspChopped ginger
  • 2 tbspGhee
  • 1 tspJeera

Steps

  1. 1

    First mix atta, salt, 1/2tsp black pepper and water to make a thick batter. Add 1tsp hot ghee in this batter. Keep it for 10 mins

  2. 2

    In a pan heat 1tbsp ghee. Add jeera to crackle. Then add ginger and gr chillies. Fry little. Add mashed potatoes, salt, pepper powder. Fry little. Switch off the flame and add coriander leaves. Cool completely. Make round balls out of it.

  3. 3

    Heat the appe pan. Put little ghee in each cup. Dip each potato balls in atta batter and put in appe pan cups. Cover and cook on slow flame for 5 to 6 mins. Then turn and cook for 5 mins again or till crisp and golden (without covering). Serve with green chutney.
