Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1/2 cupcashewnuts
  2. 1/2 cupSugar
  3. 1 tspghee
  4. Pinchsaffron strands
  5. 2 tbspwater
  6. if required (1/4 cup)Milk
  7. if required (1 tsp)Cardamom powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Firstly,Pour some cashews in a mixer and grind it into a fine powder.

    Take a pan,add ghee heat it,add sugar and 2 -3 tbsp of water and stir it until sugar melts.(or melt sugar in a bowl before grinding cashews.)

    Then add cashew powder mix,add saffron strands (here we can add milk and cardamom powder if required) and keep on stirring until we get a required consistency.

    Then switch off the flame once it gets thick as per requirement.Set it into a plate and press it,so that it forms a layer.

    Then,when it cools down cut it into desired shapes,that is diamond or square.Store it in a container, for upto 2 weeks it can be stored.

    Garnish with pistachios and almonds as required.
