Oven baked pork chops!

Camilla91 @cook_4985161

I made oven cooked pork chops today. A first time in my house, because I hate them Lol, not pork chops with my recipe (my recipe makes them delicious!) but unseasoned, unflavoured pork chops are just.. Urgh.

I grew up with them. Plain pork chops, and no offence to my parents but how ever they cooked them made them taste horrendous! Whenever my plate was handed to me and it had pork chops on, I knew I wouldn’t be ending the meal with a full belly.

In my recent post about roast potatoes, I’ve mentioned my mum used to douse it in salt, but the more I write on here the more I remember about my childhood food.. And I remember it all being doused in salt! Including the pork chops! (I know I said earlier about unseasoned chops but I think salt without pepper surely counts as unseasoned? LOL) the chops I’d get would be dry, hard and.. Salty!

So when my Terry brought some pork chops home for me to make I KNEW I’d have to have them slathered in a good sauce for moisture and cooked in the oven to keep its tenderness. I will NEVER create the monstrosities my parents did with pork chops (I am so sorry to my mum and dad, but the hate I feel towards them salty pork chops is way too real LOL I can almost taste them now.. Yuck!)

And that’s where this recipe came in. It’s a world away from what I was raised on, and an absolute mouthful of perfection! Pork chops were probably the only food I didn’t think I’d ever cook at home, but now, I think they’re going to be a regular thing!

If you come from a place that’s served bad pork chops then give this recipe a try, I promise you won’t regret it!

Tender, juicy pork chops, for the inner child 😉
