As Holi is around the corner, my taste buds long for Dahi vadas, I have learned it from my mom, who is officially our Dahi vada expert. So here is the recipe enjoy..

Grind soaked Urad dal with ginger and cumin seeds. Keep aside for minimum 2 hrs.

After 2 hrs add salt and mix till batter becomes fluffy.

In the mean time add sugar to curd and whisk it to make a smooth texture keep aside.

Heat oil in kadai and in separate bowl keep water for soaking ready

Take small quantity of batter and put for frying, fry on law flame so that vadas cook through, fry till they are light golden.

Once done remove and add to bowl of water.

Till vadas are soaking, add salt. cumin powder, black pepper powder to curd
- 8
Now remove soaked vadas one by one gently. press and remove excess water and add to curd.

To serve garnish with cumin powder and red chilli powder, Serve chilled. Enjoy...
