Ingredients

2-4 servings
  • for pie crust
  • 1 cupRefined flour
  • 50 gmbutter
  • 1/4 tspsalt
  • 1 tbspcaster sugar
  • As neededChilled water
  • For filling
  • 2beetroot grated
  • 1/2 bowlbrown sugar
  • 1/2 tspcinnemon powder
  • 1 tspbutter
  • For rose apple
  • 1apple
  • 2-3 tspsugar

Steps

  1. 1

    For pie dough rub chilled butter in the flour.

  2. 2

    Add sugar and salt to it and run until it looks like bread crumbs.

  3. 3

    Now add chilled water and make a little tight dough.

  4. 4

    Cover it with cellophane paper and keep it in fridge.

  5. 5

    Now for filling in a pan take butter and soughte beetroot into it till little soft.

  6. 6

    Add sugar to it and cook till sugar caramelized. Your filling is ready.

  7. 7

    For rose apple cut the apples to thin slices.

  8. 8

    Cook it in a pan with sugar for just 1-2 minutes. Now fold them in shape of rose petals.

  9. 9

    Now grease a pie mould and place the rolled pie dough and shape it in a mould.

  10. 10

    Now fill it with beetroot filling and place the rose shaped apple in the centre.

  11. 11

    Cover the edges with crushed walnuts.

  12. 12

    Bake for 8-10 minutes at 280°c in a pre heated oven.

  13. 13

    Serve with tea or you can enjoy it with ice Cream too.
