Rava Upma
Steps

Heat 1/2 tbsp ghee in a pan. Add rava and roast for 2 minutes or more till it gives out a nice roasted earthy aroma. Remove on a plate and keep aside.

In the same pan, heat remaining ghee. Add mustard seeds and allow it to crackle. Add cumin seeds.

Add curry leaves and green chillies and fry for 30 seconds.

Add onions, grated ginger and salt. Fry till onions are translucent. Add turmeric powder and fry for a minute.

Add 3 cups water and mix. Let it come to a boil. Add lemon juice.

Now carefully and gradually, add roasted rava, stirring continuously to avoid any lumps. Allow it to cook for a minute so that rava absorbs all the water.

Cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on low heat. Add coriander leaves and mix.

Delicious soft rava upma is ready to serve. You can enjoy it with some green chilli sauce.
