Cut bananas in to medium pieces and steam them in a steamer for 10 minutes. Then check by inserting a knife,which should come out neatly. The outer skin also seperates to indicate that the banana pieces are well cooked. Let them to be cooled and then remove the black seeds from the center of the pieces.Grind them to a paste consistency. In a bowl add the coconut, cardamom powder, sugar and add a pinch of salt. Mix well and keep it covered for 5 minutes. Make balls from the banana mash.

Flatten the balls and add 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center and close. Steam them for 10 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
