Ingredients

  1. for stuffing:
  2. 1 cupurad dal soaked
  3. 1/2 cupdhuli moong dal soaked
  4. 1 tspOil
  5. 1/4 cuproasted besan
  6. Pinchmustard seeds, hing and sauf for tempering
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  9. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  10. as requiredGaram masala
  11. for dough:
  12. 1 cupwheat flour
  13. Pinchsalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a pan. Crackle mustard, hing and fennel seeds in it. Add turmeric powder and both the soaked dal with 1/2 cup water.
    Add salt and coriander powder also.
    Cover the pan with a lid until it is cooked and all water evaporates.
    Then add garam masala and roasted besan.
    When it cools down, grind it coarse.. The stuffing is ready.

    For the dough,
    1 cup wheat flour with a pinch of salt is required. Knead a soft dough using this.

    Roll puris, fill stuffing into it and fold like kachori.Deep fry in hot oil at medium flame till golden brown..

    Serve hot with achaari aaloo..
