Wash and drain the chicken pieces well.

In a wide bowl, add together the chicken pieces, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, pepper powder, cumin powder, garam masala, chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Marinate for few hours or overnight.

Put the marinated chicken in a Microwave safe glass bowl with lid on and microwave for 10 to 12 minutes or till the chicken is cooked. Keep aside.

Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds and allow it to crackle. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida. Add whole pepper, cardamoms, cinnamon stick, cloves.

Add green chillies and curry leaves and and saute for 30 seconds. Add onions and saute till light golden. Add green bell pepper and saute for a minute or two.

Add the cooked chicken and saute for another 4 to 5 minutes. Serve hot.
