Ingredients

  1. 1/4 cupbeetroot.. Peeled and cubed
  2. 1/2 tspcayenne or green chillies
  3. 1/2 tspginger.. Grated or powder
  4. 2 cupsyoghurt or curd
  5. 2 cupswater
  6. 1/2 tspsalt
  7. For tempering(optional)
  8. 1 tspmustard seed
  9. 1 tbspoil
  10. Pinchsalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Get all your ingredients ready(ignore the sugar)

    In a sauce pan, boil the beetroots in 1/4/cup water till they soften...set aside to cool

    In a blender..add your beetroot mixture, yoghurt, milk, water, salt,cayenne... Blend to a smooth pulp

    Strain to remove any solids

    To the optional step: In a pan, heat up the oil, add salt and mustard seeds..let it cool for 2-3 minutes.. Set aside, let it cool, and add to the blended mixture

  6. 6

    Chill for a while before serving.. Best served chilled
