Hamburger & Taters

This is one of my mother in laws recipes. this is what they call it and it’s been passed down through many generations of her family here in central Florida. It’s the easiest and heartiest of meals. When we don’t know what we want, we have this. It’s so good with peas and cornbread. It’s nothing spectacular but then again it is!!

Three of my Granddaughters I watch regularly. All children have different likes and dislikes. One doesn't like sandwiches, unless it's fried bread. She doesn't even like hamburger's. So I try to make things all of them like. Here is one of them. This can be served with Heinz tomato Ketchup, barbeque sauce, or anyone of the following steak sauces, Heinz 57, A1, or HP steak sauces. You can eat it as we call it plain. Add a side of fried green beans. skunkmonkey101 -

My sister in-law made this for the first time the other day and told me to try it. Please read full recipe here as I added some notes that I did to change the recipe some in case you want to make it the exact same way. Following the recipe as it’s originally written will still be very good though I just changed it to how me and my family would like it.Here’s the website it came from:https://www.saltandlavender.com/hamburger-stew/I doubled the potatoes and carrots and added peas and corn. Add or omit whatever vegetables you would like! Danielle Morse -

Hamburger Stew Hamburger Stew
I'm native american, grew up on a rez - this is a favorite dinner staple. My sister's the queen of soups, so with her tutelage, I made a pot by myself ❤Idk if you've ever seen the joke/meme about Natives or Mexicans not using exact measurements, but that's exactly what this entails. You measure with your heart/soul y'all. (Except the pasta in this case.) Teodora T. -
Hamburger Soup Hamburger Soup
When it’s chilly, I serve my family warm and hearty bowls of this hamburger soup. This is a great dish to make for a crowd, or make it on the weekend and eat it all week. You can also spice it up a bit by adding some chile or cayenne powder. If you have other veggies that need to be used up, this soup is the perfect place to put them. Zucchini, sweet potato, beans? Put ‘em in the pot! You can also serve the soup over leftover rice or pasta. This recipe was modified from the Food Network#GlobalApron - Week 35.
