Ingredients

12 pieces
  • 2Brinjal or egg plant : medium size
  • 1 and 1/2cup Gram flour :
  • 1 tspGinger garlic paste :
  • 1 pinchTurmeric powder :
  • 1 pinchBaking soda :
  • 1/2 tspAjwain :
  • Curry leaves : few for taste(optional)
  • Salt : as per ur taste
  • Oil : for deep frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Cut the Brinjal into thin slices in round shape.. U can give shape according to ur choice..

    In a bowl take all the ingredients except brinjal and oil.. Mix well and make a lumps free smooth consistency batter neither too much thick nor thin by adding water..

  3. 3

    Dip the Brinjal slices in the batter and deep fry in a pan using oil till it turns in to golden brown in colour.. Take it out from oil and serve hot with any chutneys or sauce..
