Cireng Ayam / Fried Chicken and Tapioca Cakes

Cireng or short for 'aci digoreng' or fried tapioca, is a famous street food here. Usually sold in a cart together with other fried food.
Usually sold plain with only flavoured tapioca flour, but in this recipe I adfed a bit of lefover shredded chicken. So I don't feel guilty afterwards for only eating tapioca 😆
Hope you like it!

Steps
- 1
Put the tapioca, flour, chicken and seasonings in a bowl.
- 2
The mix evenly.
- 3
Add some boiling water, little by little, not tok much. Just enough until the tapioca can be shaped.
- 4
Shape into a disc. Do until everything is done.
- 5
Put the oil in a shallow pan. Then put in the cakes. Don't wait until it is hot. Because if you do, the cakes will explode during frying. Trust me!
- 6
Then fry until boths sides are golden brown.
- 7
Serve.
