Ingredients

20 minutes
6 person's
  • 4 cupsfull fat milk
  • 1/3 cuppowder sugar
  • 1 tablespoonvinegar
  • 1/2 teaspooncardamom powder
  • as neededChopped pistachios for garnishing
  • 1 teaspoonghee

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Take a heavy bottomed pan add milk and bring to boil. When the milk starts boiling add vinegar to the milk. Add little by little mix well, turn off the flame and set aside the pan for 10 minutes for curdle all the milk.

    After 10 minutes take a cheese cloth on a strainer and strain all the excess water of the chana. Take the strainer under the tap and run cold water to remove the sourness of the chana. Squeezed the cheese cloth to remove excess water.

    Now in a blender add all the chana grind it to make a smooth paste.

    Heat a non - stick pan in low medium heat add ghee then add the chana paste.

    Now stir continuously the chana mixture with a spatula for few minutes. Then add powder sugar and mix well.

    Stir constantly when chana little crumbly mix it well. Stir constantly when chana leaves the side of the pan. Switch off the flame.

    Grease little bit of ghee in a bowl and pour the chana mixture and lavel it with a spatula, then spread the chopped pistachios over the sandesh mixture. Keep aside the refrigerator for 5 minutes then cut into diamond shape.
