Cut the sides of bread and keep aside

Take 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon water in a pan and caramelise it. Take this out in the bowl greases with butter, where the pudding has to be set

Keep some milk for custard and put rest into a pan. Boil the milk for 10 mins to make it dense and then add the bread, sugar and keep mixing till it's properly mixed

Mix the custard powder with remaining milk and add it into the bread mix. Once the mix is of right consistency, remove it into the bowl which has the caramelised sugar

Once the mixture comes into normal temperature put it into fridge and let it cool and set. This will take around 3-4 hours. Remove and cut and serve cold
