Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cupsMurmura [ puffed rice]
  • 1 1/2 tbspsesame seeds [ til]
  • 4 tbsppowdered jaggery
  • 1 tsppowdered cardamom
  • 2 tbspwater

Steps

5 minutes
  1. 1

    Dry roast murmura in a pan until it starts to change the colour.[ don't over roast, switch off the heat immediately when the colour starts to change ] Keep it aside.

    Dry roast sesame seeds and keep it aside.

    In a pan add powdered jaggery and water. Cook it by stirring continuously.

    When it starts to thicken add cardamom powder and mix well.

    When the jaggery became thick add the puffed rice [ murmura ] and sesame seeds and coat it well.

    Line a plate with parchment paper(or you can directly spread it on a lightly greased plate) and spread the prepared jaggery coated murmura on it. Press it down evenly with a spatula.

    Let it cool. Cut it with a sharp knife and enjoy
