Black pepper and Parmesan Grissini

In a large bowl combine warm water, yeast and sugar. Mix it well.

Add olive oil, whole wheat flour, and half of the All purpose flour. Mix all the ingredients together.

Cover it and let the mixture stand in warm place for 35-40 minutes.

Now add Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Add all purpose flour in batches to make dough easy to handle.

Place dough on lightly floured surface and knead it until dough is smooth and springy. Keep the dough in a well greased bowl, cover it and let it rest for an hour.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees f.

Once dough rise properly. Gently push fist into dough to deflate.

On lightly oiled surface, pat out dough to form a square.

Using sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the square into strips.

Roll each strip. Place it on a cookie sheet. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with some Parmesan cheese and crushed pepper.

Bake it for 12 to 15 minutes Or until golden brown. Cool completely and ENJOY!!!
