Ingredients

  1. 1 cup (250 g)butter (salted or unsalted)- at room temperature
  2. 3 cups (375 g)icing sugar - i used half of this for my case
  3. 2 tbsp (30 g)milk

Steps

  1. 1

    Add the butter to a bowl

  2. 2

    Beat the butter for 5 minutes until it has become light and airy, doubled in size and lost most of its color

  3. 3

    Start adding icing sugar half a cup at a time, beating for about a minute in between each addition.

  4. 4

    Use the milk to thin out the consistency of the icing. Add it a teaspoon at a time. This is also the time to add any flavorings or colorings that you would like.

  5. 5

    This icing can last in the fridge for a few weeks or a freezer up to 3 months. When you are ready to use just let it get back up to room temperature.

  6. 6

    You can use it to ice your cake like i tried with mine😊😊

Hi, do you have recommendations on which butter brands I can use. Also butter/ margarine is it the same in this case?
