
Monday Pie

Preheat the oven to 200/180°C fan.

Fry the diced onions in a large pot in a little oil until golden and slightly transparent. Stir frequently to avoid burning.

Add the beef mince and cook until browned completely. Stir frequently to ensure all mince is cooked through.

Add the baked beans and stir thoroughly to combine.

Add the crumbled stock cubes, a generous helping of Worcestershire sauce, and seasoning of salt and pepper to taste. Mix throughly.

Transfer into a large oven dish. Top with either potatoes sliced to 3mm thickness or mashed potato. Bake for 50 minutes for sliced potatoes until cooked through, or 15-20 minutes for mash until lightly browned.

Optionally add grated cheese 5-10 minutes before removing from the oven.
