Heat oil in a large pot. Add the onion and cook over medium heat until soft and translucent, about 10 minutes.

Add the garlic, stir, and cook for an additional minute. Add the tomatoes, oregano, basil, sugar, salt and pepper.

Mix all ingredients well together then bring sauce to boil. Reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer for 30 minutes.

Remove from stove and let sauce completely cool off, put sauce in a container. Keep it in the fridge.
