For the dough
Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, mix well and knead into semi-stiff dough using enough water.

Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the onions and garlic and saute on a medium flame for 2 minutes.

Add the spinach, baharat powder and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 3 minutes.

Transfer the mixture in a deep bowl, add the cheese and walnuts, mix well. Divide the mixture into equal portions. Keep aside.

To make the Sambousek.
1. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll a portion of the dough into a round of almost 4 inch round circle.

Place a portion of spinach and cheese mixture in the centre. Fold it over to make a semi-circle. Seal the ends completely using a little water.

3. Twist the edges.

4. Repeat for the remaining dough circles and stuffing to make more sambousek.

5. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai and deep-fry, a few sambousek at a time on a slow flame till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides. Drain on an absorbent paper.
