Mooli ki bhurji (Radish) is very healthy and easily available vegetable during winters. It has numerous health benefits, is a great detoxifies, good for the stomach and liver, helps in curing jaundice and reduces the chances of cancer etc.
Mooli ki burji is a special Punjabi dish, usually people use mooli (radish) in making mooli parantha, sabzi, salad but throw away the green leaves, but we use green leaves also in Mooli ki burji.

It a perfect combination with Dal (moong dal), my husband likes it.

  1. 1/2 kgMooli (Radish)-
  2. 1 tspoil
  3. 1 pinchhing (asafetida)
  4. 1/2 tspCumin seeds
  5. 1 tspamchur (dry mango powder)
  6. 1 tspturmeric
  7. 1 tspred chilli
  8. Salt as per taste

    Wash and Peel the Radish and chop roughly

    Heat oil in a pan

    Add cumin seeds and pinch of hing(asafetida)

    Add Ginger paste

    Add chopped Radish

    Cover the lid

    Cook until vegetable are tender or till then golden.

    Add masala (salt, amchur, red chilli, turmeric powder)

    Add green leaves and mix well.

    Cook further for 10-15 min till the whole moisture is evaporated
