Ingredients

4-5 servings
  1. 200 gmselbow semolina pasta
  2. 1big onion
  3. 1tomato
  4. 2carrots
  5. 25 gmspeanuts
  6. 1 teaspoonjeera or cumin seeds
  7. I tablespoon of tomato sauce
  8. 1 teaspoonItalian herbs
  9. Salt as per taste
  10. 1 tablespoonoil

Steps

    After the ingredients have been arranged now is the time to boil the elbow pasta as per the instructions given on the package. As far as the elbow pasta is concerned it gets cooked much easier than the other pasta. Cook it al dente (to the point that it gets cooked but not mushy)

    After you have cooked the pasta drain it in the colander and let it cool. Now keep a wok or a kadhai and put 1 tablespoon of oil and as the oil gets hot put in cumin seeds or jeera and then on sputtering of jeera put the onions, we have to cook the onions till the time they become translucent and not brown. Then add tomatoes and let them cook properly. At this point I normally add Italian herbs as the indo continental twist happens at this point.

    After the masala has been cooked with Italian herbs add the carrots, you have to take finely grated carrots. Here I have taken roasted peanuts as they Taste fabulous. So along with carrots goes the half quantity of roasted peanuts into the masala. Other half is used for dressing.

    Now let the masala gets cooked, at this point add the tomato sauce and little bit more of Italian herbs.If you want spicy element you can use schezwan sauce along with tomato sauce.The combination is really fantastic.

    Macroni Masti is ready to be enjoyed. Put the remaining peanuts and some basil leaves for dressing up.Serve it with Garlic bread it tastes wonderful. Enjoy!!!!
